Adobe launched a new initiative in Fall 2006 bringing world-class photographer Colin Finlay and Photoshop Lightroom (a new application for importing, managing, developing and showcasing large photo collections) to 25 schools across the US.
Over the course of two days, students and faculty heard a lecture by Finlay in which he shared his career as a photographer, including commercial work as well as documentation of social issues such as war and famine.
The following day, Adobe's Senior Evangelist Julieanne Kost, provided students with an in-depth seminar on using Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom to support a digital workflow.
The second day also comprised of a small group of students participating with Finlay in a workshop assignment. Students selected images from the assignment which were placed into a portfolio and uploaded to this site for sharing with the extended community.
